The second wave is here and continues to wreak havoc. I think many of us are not surprised by the behaviour of some people. Unfortunately, this was to be expected. The fact that people are not taking this virus seriously makes me sad. I am definitely not a person who panics or who has started sanitising my hands at every opportunity. Absolutely not! I am taking precautions: I wash my hands more often and wear the mask that is now compulsory.
I am aware of this virus, which can be deadly and leave very serious after-effects. But I don't let it rule my life. I stay positive, I feel safe and I am very grateful to be healthy so my family, friends, colleagues and you.
I have got into the habit of saying a kind of prayer of thanks every day, either when I wake up in the morning or before I go to bed. I really mean it and feel it from the bottom of my heart.
We should feel privileged to be able to go to work. How many people have lost their jobs or worse still had to close their restaurants, bars etc.? Let's be grateful for what we have and not complain about what we don't have. Whether materially or in terms of health!
You know, I've often been criticised for being too optimistic, for being lucky etc... Those are just excuses! I choose to: be happy, be healthy and help people. I choose to stay positive. I choose not to complain.
I choose to take and accept what is happening to me and I choose not to blame anyone. I choose to be happy now!
Then go for it! Go ahead! Be happy every day! Be grateful! And live in the now (by taking some precautions)! Don't let this virus take over your life!
I wish you all the best and good health! Hugs to you, Catherine.
